Question does anyone here burn chips for tbi?

Looking to get a chip burned to help get the most out of my recent build. If anyone does indeed burn them let me know please im really wanting to get one burned for my specific build. if anyone knows of another way to chip/tune a 88 tbi 5.7 that would possibly work too.

Thanks

You are really limited with a 88 chip. It is a 2732 4KB file size EPROM. Not even a Memcal. The tables in the calibration are pretty limited. The plastic carrier for the chip are discontinued and I have not been able to find a source for them. I hope your mods are not too drastic. I have the equipment to make them and used to make them but have pretty much stopped. And since they are speed density calibrations, anyone that will make one without having the vehicle in front of them with decent data logging equipment is just going to be guessing at what it needs especially if you have done any mods that substantially increased the air flow. On that old stuff I usually refer people to either Ed Wright (fastchips) or PCM of North Carolina and let them have the headache.

I think Hypertech has chip tunes you can plug-n-play.

Their chips are for stock vehicles, not for something with vortec heads and a cam.

TBIchips dot com has them. His name is Brian and email is sales@tbichips.com. You can download winaldl buy an aldl cable (obd1 to USB) and data log. Then send him the file and he'll tune it for you. I have a cable that I will no longer need because I am swapping to a 5.3 if you're interested. We went through over 100 emails back and forth on mine and he was very helpful!

Check out Dynamic EFI. I have this set up on a tbi 454 with heads, cam, intake, and headers. Works just like hp tuners, makes your ecm flashable, its an awesome piece and Bob's customer service is amazing.
