Do the '99/'00 PCM's really suck as bad as some say....I don't think so, here's why:

The code that references that table has changed (improved) so, the numbers in that table mean different things to the dfferent codes, kind of like if I was to put the knock sensor numbers that work for a '99/'00 into a '01-'04 you could hit the side of the motor in the '01-'04 with a ball-peen hammer and the knock sensors would be completely deaf to it, the two computers have different algorithms for processingt the numbers in that table....so you get two different results from the same numbers

Trial and error, file comparisons, ALOT of research, and a little bit of luck....I've spent the last 6 months figuring out WHY the '99/'00 PCM is supposedly so bad, I've determined that it's not the OS code that's bad, it's the people trying to tune them using numbers that work in the '01 and later PCM's that causes the problems. the '99/'00 PCM's require a completely different set of numbers in some of the tables than the '01-up PCM's to achieve the same effect

You didn't say you actualy wanted to SEE something on the tab ....I think it's '04 or '05 and newer that actually have the tab enabled.

Nope it's the 01-02 ECM's that have the tab enabled.

Thank you, now I can fix up a few of my friend 99-00 trucks without buying a 02 ECM.
