Default disconnect battery and problems start

It seems like every time i disconnect the battery or the battery dies my truck starts having problems and i take it to my tuner and all kinds of stuff is off. It will be running fine disconnect battery and reconnect truck idles terrible searches from 300 to 1000 rpm then stalls out. I usually take it to him he adjusts then its fine. But today battery was dead truck set two weeks now idiling problem and now feels like transmission is slipping and will hardly pull off and when accelerating wont go past 4k rpm in drive. Please help

A: Disconnecting the battery clears the idle learned parameters in the PCM so it takes some time for the PCM to do an Idle Relearn.
B: Pretty much everything in your truck runs off electricity. If the battery isn't supplying enough juice then the electronics aren't going to have the power they need to properly work.
If your battery is dieing all the time then you need a new battery Or possibly alternator as well. Also if the cables on the battery are not getting sufficient connection then they will cause your truck to not run properly.

That's where I'd start.

ill check voltage but battery should be fine its a new xs power audio battery and truck doesnt normally die it set with my alarm on for two weeks while i was in hospital. i understand idle relearn but why would it be searching from 200 - 1200 rpm and stalling out? truck was running fine when parked two weeks ago!

To test the battery, disconnect the cables then read the output with a VOM, anything less than 12.5V means the battery is under performing and could lead to PCM problems. This was the primary cause of all the C5 Corvettes to go into column lock mode.
