For some reason I have lost my instrument dash lights in my 99 silverado. I also dont have any power going back to my trailer connector. I dont know if these are both related or not.

I have checked the fuse boxes and it appears all fuses are good to go.

Is there a relay or something else that needs to be checked?

I come from the classic car world, so the newer electronics and stuff has me grabbing for answers.

 

I regained the trailer lights by pulling some fuses and disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it.

The only lights that are out are the ones the light the dash.

 

Hmmm...I'd say maybe a bad headlight switch? The dimmer wire is green coming out of the headlight switch. Might try unplugging that harness and putting +12v to the green wire to see if they come on. If so, you have a bad headlight switch.
