Default Damn cluster!

So back at 44,000 miles in 2012 my cluster went out in the truck like most do. It was the speedo and fuel guage were stuck. I know all about the stepper motors problem and blah blah blah... It was covered under recall of under 50,000 miles, and so the dealer replaced the WHOLE cluster. Reprogrammed it to miles and it was done... well now its 72,000 miles and only 2.5 years later and the damn oil pressure guage is stuck at 80psi and i called the dealer and they wont do anything for me.... wtf!! How can the original be warranty/recall for up to 50,000 miles and my new cluster doesn't even last 30,000 miles? And its not even 2.5 years old!!!
What should i do from here? Im beyond pissed

Might just be the oil pressure sending unit behind the intake. Pretty common part to fail too

I turn the key off and it dropps to zero like eveything else, but turn the key on (not running) it goes pegs all the way right. Start the truck and drive it and it doesn't move...
How can i test the unit?

Its a cheap enough part to just try it and see if it fixes your issues.

The sensor is about 40 bucks new and not too bad to change. I pulled my intake and valley cover at the same time to freshen up gaskets. You can get a new Dorman cluster if you think that is the issue. I believe I paid about 350 for that. Got it from the local parts store but there are places you can go to get it fixed online if that is more your style.

Clusters are common to fail on these trucks. But, my sensor failed within 15K miles of the cluster being replaced.
