Some tuners charge $500 some charge $150 It does not necessarily mean one is better than the other, nor does it mean they are the equal.

Price all depends on how much money you are wanting to make, big shops may have a tune shop package that costs a lot on the front end but at 400-500 bucks a tune, it pays itself off quick. Some "private" tuners may go one by one purchasing pcm licenses as they go and do it that way. It all depends on how much they like doing it and how much they want to pocket. Every one with EFILive or HP has the same tables as all the other guys, you just gotta know how to use them! LOL

I hope you really aren't going to run a cam with .581 lift and 1.8 rockers. That puts you at like .615 which is completely overkill for any stock heads.

Overhead is often the biggest reason. In some cases though, you get what you pay for...

just for the sake of argument....i payed over $400.00 for a mail order tune from one of the sponsers here and after paying nearly half that for an in-person tune that was quite a bit better id say that it isnt always about the cost.

Correct...see post#3

A live tune "should" always be better than a generic tune.
