A snap on scanner will work. I had it done this morning

i can confirm snapon WILL work. i got mine done yesterday for 30 dollars

 

My OTC genisys has the ablity to do crank relearn.

wasnt there something with using the snap on for 03 and newer models that you actually have to go into the diagnostics section and say its an 02 to get to the relearn procedure? I could of swore i read that somewhere but i am not positive. Everyone I seem to come across with a snap on scanner doesnt have the newest GM update for 03-present

 

Always get a relearn done. Just installed mine this morning and I will be going to the dealer next week to get it done. Called Jesse and he said to get it done also,

 

this will need to be done if you swap motors too right?

 

Would we be able to avoid the problem when we get a Nelson tune by sending him the PCM?

 

as long as he send the same one back.
