Brian @ PCMforless.com said that 1 out of 20 need it..

I need to get mine done..

We logged my truck with HPtuners and it was reading 8 degrees of timing... and Brian said he had it set at 16.8* of timing....

I havent figured out where to get mine done yet either..

I guess I will try the GM guy thing.....

thanks

isn't there some kind of procedure that would do the same trick...like disconnect your battery for 24hrs or something?
otherwise, good luck.

guess I got lucky... I just got my crank relearn done about half an hour ago... took about five minutes... didnt get charged a dime. Went to a local performance shop... same guy i had do my exhaust a while back. I'd suggest just calling around to some local performance shops and see what you can find... gotta be someone out there in your area that wont rip you off

do you know what scanner they used to do your relearn? Was it a tech 2 or something else?

Thats weird because every Nelson tuned PCM I've put in needed it done, including the one that is giving me an SES now. I think I'm on the fourth one now since the turbo install.
