Default Could TC slippage pull timing?

Took my truck to the track last night to get some times with the stall nefore i do my cam swap. Used to run 14.7's before the 2600 stall at 96. Had 93 octane and a bottle of booster but ran 15.2 at 90.... I dropped tire pressure to 20 and hooked up perfect but it chattered bad on the top end... Drive home was fine pulled like a beast but it chatters when it hooks up. I haven't had tunr re-done for the converter yet could it be??

What do you mean chatters??? From my understand losing some topend with a larger torque converter is not uncommon, but that is usually on the larger TCs, i would not expect that from 2600... Who does your tuning?

What was the weather like as far as air temp, humididty, etc... compared to the 14.7 run you ran previously? I mean it shouldnt make that big of a difference unless the tune is kind of jacked up.

It ran a 14.8 at 96 spinning off the line with the converter but when i drop pressure and it hooks off the line the computer must go into a safe mode... Chattering is noise in the cylinders when either cheap gas or timing is wrong. Blacbear tuned it but i haven't had it redone for the converter.... I was just hoping same thing has happened so i know its the tune. Humidity was higher this time but that should not affect it that much

I see you have a CAI...is it an oilable filter? if so, have you recently cleaned your MAF? if not, i'd start there. it also wouldn't hurt to run some seafoam through the motor to try and clean the top end.

Cai is a dryflow and i seafoamed it a week ago... It only does it when i hook up good if it spins theres no issue. My 60 foot time is the same whether it spins or hooks up so it must start pulling timing immediately. I know i need a retune just hoping someone else has had the same prob to confirm...

Just wondering how you made out. I think I have a similar problem. Added my stall and exhaust after the tune and it feels slower.
