cluster issues
#1
Yesterday i purchased another gmc from a man i know for dirt cheap its a 2000 gmc 1500 4x4 with a 4.8/auto. I knew going into the deal the trans needed work.
I have a couple codes coming up including a U1016 (loss communication with BCM)
The truck starts and runs fine, but the cluster goes crazy. The info center constanly flashes "low coolant", "low fuel", low washer fluid" even tho all are filled and there is gas in the truck. What causes that code? and is it making my cluster go crazy if its not communicating right? THanks in advance

Don't know what causes it but I got it too. Had it for years! At least five or six.
I thought it might be from filling the gas tank too full.
I've noticed lately(now that I've been traveling inmy truck to dallas)that about halfway through a tank the gas guage reads true for a while the drops back to empty!
My abs light(left side?)and the brake light(right side?)are usually on. When the low coolant etc lights start flashing I lose the accuracy on my gas gauge.
WTF, I got 180K, there are some issues!
