Default Cluster help

I had to change out my cluster and my truck has 150*** miles on it and the cluster I got has 180*** miles. I heard somewhere you can have them reset or adjusted to show correct milage. How is this done.
My cluster was broken where the plug goes in and would make all the gauges drop to nothing and I could hit the dash a few times and they would work for a few min then cut back off.

ask a local dealer first, if they won't do it you'll have to send it off for a fee..
