Running in closed loop speed density allows the fuel trims to compensate for temp changes. This set-up works best with the long term trims disabled. No need to check your maf tables, if the fail is set at 0, or it is off the truck completely the engine will not use the tables.
I agree with the 02 placment issue....

Agree. You want at least one bank to be able to fuel independently.

Will open loop still adjust for temperature and stuff? Is it possible to just run off the wideband?
In EFILive there is an IAT VE modifier table that you can use to adjust for temps. Not sure about HPT.

Running in OLSD the PCM runs in open loop, with no fueling correction at all. Just wanted to clarify - it sounded a little misleading when you said your truck runs off the wideband, like it's using the wideband to make fueling corrections. Also, check to see if there is an IAT correction table in HPT. It usually has the same features as EFILive, and EFILive does have the IAT correction table.

I'm just running OLSD with no MAF and have no issues.
Once I get my VE tables dialed in I plan to go to CLSD so I don't have to retune for altitude, pressure, or temperature changes.

In theory, yes, but if I run from Phoenix to Flagstaff (1400 ft to about 7000 ft elevation) my tune is way off.

ive been running OLSD for 6 months now. I plan on going clsd here someday. I think me Ve is finally done.

With the values i picked up of the efilive forum, my truck has been lean her recently. Ve was lined up with the approp temp and what not as well. I need some other ones to put in A0014. Got any thunder?

There is definatly no way to use my wideband instead of my reg 02's that anyone knows of? Just thought it might respond a little better.

Nope, not unless you go to a standalone aftermarket ECU setup.
