Default cleaned throttle body, now electrical is dead

Hi guys

i have a 2000 yukon 5.3 dbw

I disconnected the battery and pulled the throttle body to clean it.

cleaned throttle body and let dry for about 15 minutes. hooked everything back up. reconnected the battery.

now, nothing works. lights dont even come on when i open the door. gauges jump erratically. wont start. wont even try to start.

only thing i can think of is somehow there was still cleaner in the electronics, and somehow fried the pcm.

it had to have been a half hour or so by the time i got everything bolted up, connected and turned the key.

I certainly didnt spray the stepper motor or connector directly, and certainly didnt flood the spray in there. But im just wondering what else it could be.

drove it about a week ago and everything was ok.

battery is new.

Ill try cleaning battery cable contacts and and checking cigarette light tomorrow.

Any ideas of what is wrong?

thanks guys!

If you don't know, we won't know either because we don't have it in front on us.

Pretty much a guess at this point. Clean all contact again and double check all IGN fuses under the hood.

just hoping the fact that NOTHING works might be a clue. does the pcm/bcm somehow control the interior lighting? any way to get detailed schematics online somewhere?

thanks

Make sure you didn't cross thread the battery bolt.

Its likely an issue with the battery connections.

do the headlights work ?
If not, then either your battery is deeply discharged... or you have not connected the battery terminals properly.
