It's probably a VATS Issue due to a vin mismatch using HP tuners.

Disable the VATS and reflash the tune.

I am having the issue using the V6 PCM, which has the matching VIN. Should I "write entire"? I have been just doing write changes.

I did not flash the V6 pcm w/ a complete V8 tune, I just went into the V6 PCM and changed all the settings to match the V8 settings

Then the PCM inputs/outputs will still be functioning as if running the V6. The entire V8 operating system is required to run the V8.

have the rings seated yet?
