Default Changing Tps

My brother in laws truck is throwing the code p0122. He says that it idles high and doesn't return to the normal idle rpm upon deceleration. I visually looked at the sensor and plug they appear to be ok. Will changing the sensor fix this problem. If so do you have to calibrate the sensor or anything.

TPS change requires no calibration....stick it in and go
