how is everyone turning off the check engine light if they gut or remove there cats? ive got a superchips cortex programmer but im not sure if it allows me to tune them out or not? any help would be appriciated thanks

 

ive got an 02 5.3 and im wantin to remove the cats driver side cat is stopped up so figured id knock them out. but i have a superchips cortex programmer will it allow me to tune out my rear sensors? ive not got the money to spend for a custom tune plus where i live im no where near a place to actually put a tune into my computer and stuff or dyno it so im kinda screwed bout that

 

You have to use laptop based tuning solutions to disable DTCs. Something like HP Tuners, EFI Live or Tunercat OBD2. Sending your PCM to a mail order tuner is another option.
