Default Case Learn - Technical help needed.

I was helping someone do a case learn last night with HPT vcm control on his 2006 SS. I got a "ready" clicked on the "begin" and then followed the instructions to rev slowly to limit but the truck was registering speed up to 9mph and canceling (?) the case learn because it would just reset.

We pulled the fuse on the stereo just to make sure there was no feedback and tried a few more times but constantly the Gage on the dash and scanner would jump up.

Ended up clearing his P0300 code and taking it for a test drive no further misfires were detected but what's up with his speed registering while in Park or Neutral?

Revving "slowly" actually should read, rev pretty quickly. I ran into the same problem when I did mine. REV IT FASTER.

Hey Roger! yeah? We tried many different speeds of "gradual" but can try again, what happens when it works?

Nothing happens when it works. No verification of a successful learn. Nada zip nothing. You just don't get a canceled code.

lol, oh well maybe after the 18th attempt it worked

Owner was getting intermittent light on the dash at ~70mph, test drive afterward and no codes on dash or scanner.

I hate the "relearn function" on HPTuners, it doesnt say **** when it works. I've been told EFI is the same way. Stupid...

it did 'cut-out' ~4000 on an attempt.

I was trying the same thing, a friend had this code stored for a new PCM...so when attempting to do a case learn, you click begin and then do what?? raise the RPM? to what level?? I tried a few times and it aborted all of them??
