Default Can't get MAF sensor to fail.

I decided to switch to SD tune and can't get the truck to run. I cut the three wires to the MAF and left the tan and tan/blk wires for the IAT sensor but I'm not getting any codes. I unplugged the MAF and still no codes. Figured I would get one for the MAF and the IAT sensor with it unplugged. I need the MAF to fail for SD tune to work any thoughts?

Fail the MAF within the tune.

I think the tuner probably thought of this but I'll mention it just in case.

P0101-P0103 is set to Mil on first, high fail is set to 500hz, and low fail to 200hz. Tried it both with it still connected where it should have high failed, then unplugged/cut when it should have low failed, but its not failing in any of those scenarios.

Try 10hz and 5hz. Set dynamic airflow high rpm disable to 8192 and 8191. Try changing the count threshold to like 3 for both.

Is it using the custom 2 bar OS or the stock OS still?

Its a stock e38 OS.

I think I found the problem, for some reason the min test rpm for the P010x tests was set to 6000rpm. No idea how that got changed.

You know you guy's sound like rocket scientist. Right!

Not sure if its possible but the original tuner (dumb *** who melted the piston) had all kinds of trouble with the MAF made me by a new one but the factory one worked fine. Anyway wonder if he changed some crap that's coming back to haunt me. Unless you tuners start from scratch each time. Glad you got it figured out atomic. Thanks for helping FFDP.

I have an NBS with a 512kb ecu, but I gotta say, SD is the ****. I'm really happy we did mine SD. It's easy to out flow my MAF. You card MAF folks tho shouldn't have as many issue?

Apparently im the 4th tuner to touch this thing so no idea what other secrets are hiding to find!

The Gen4 MAFs are good to 700hp ish, the Gen3s barely crack 400 before they are maxed out.
