Run HPT on more than one laptop? I got a new beater laptop and want to use it for the truck, possible problems?

AFAIK the brains/registration data are in the cable, so you could load it on 500 laptops if you wanted and there would not be a problem.

I have EFI Live and HP Tuners loaded on my laptop and on my work computer .... So to answer question nope it is not a problem, if your planning on doing that I would start keeping your tunes/logs on a memory stick or flash drive that way you always have them and your not storing multiple copies at different places...

have you plugged your interface into the beater yet? It will need to go thru the double hardware install. That's if you are looking to use the "beater" in the vehicle. You should be able to download the software, install, insert application key and be fine. I know...BlackGMC did exactly that.

There has been reported issues with the new hpt software. I know 4 people that haven't been able to use it. It keeps crashing on their particualr setups. I haven't had issues with it.

I have HPT and my serial key on...6 computers.

It runs Xp and the program will start but it wont accept the app key I entered. I will go home and run the disc and see if that helps, i guess. I seem to be lacking the drivers for the interface?
