I just swapped a 6.0, vrx5 cam, port and polish heads with long tubes headers to a 2003 Silverado. Well now I get the camshaft position high input code (p0343) the truck has a hard time to turn on it backfires then turns on, sometimes it turns on normal. I just changed the cam sensor and still get the same code so I decided to unplug the cam sensor and same thing happen, it backfire then turns on but this time I get the high and low input circuit. (p0343, p0342)

I test the cam signal hi to low and low to hi on the scanner and I get 0.

The trucks idles good after starting it but I can't get this code off .

Any ideas what it can be? I'm about to take off the timing cover and recheck it.

 

Have any one run to this problem?
I've search around and found different problems with it.

 

LS2? Why type of cam gear? I swapped in an LS2 in my truck and had these problems, still having the nightmare as we speak and I've tried everything.

 

Got it running already, one wire was cut of the cam sensor so I splice and it work.
