Default battery light

Ok guys i been having my battery light on for a couple of weeks and recently it shot up to 19 volts on my gauge but when i hook up hp tuners it reads 14.5 i don't know if my cluster messed up or if there is a electrical problem somewhere ..its a 05 silverado and i read that these are know for having a messed up cluster

The cluster being bad doesn't turn on the battery light. Use a real ammeter and load tester to determine if your alternator is functioning properly.
