Default Auto Meter Wide Band Gauge vs PLX Wide Band?

I did some searching an sorta found an answer to my question but thought I might post it up.

From a aesthetic standpoint I'd like to run a Auto Meter Phantom Wide Band AFR gauge and a matching boost gauge in my Radix equipped '03 Silvy.

But it seems more people are using the PLX Wide Bands because they're widely compatible for data logging. I read an older post where someone made Hp Tuners communicate with an Auto Meter Wide Band for data logging but aside from the PLX being compatible with more computers, are there any other advantages to the PLX over the Auto Meter?

Please school me, this is my first forced induction vehcile and I'm doing as much research as possible before starting to buy parts. Also, I'm not sure if I'll pay to have it tuned or buy something like HPT or EFI-Live and slowly learn it myself.

Sorry for the long-winded question.

The Phantom Wide Band:

Thanks all

Wow, the more I read about Wide Bands and tuning the more I get confused. I need to spend a lot more time reading about them before I make a purchase.

Just got done reading this:
http://forum.efilive.com/showthread....eter-wideband&

At this point if I don't even fully understand what dictates a good WB from another and what the desired features are, I have NO business buying one. I guess it's time to do my homework.

Sorry for cluttering up the forums, I still have more to learn.

DAMN, that looks killer! Which WB did you go with, the standard or the Pro? How do you like the WB and the boost gauge so far?

I am not sure which WB I got. So far so good. Both work the way they should, have been for almost 2 years now... They will soon have a home in a center console, so will that FP gauge that is tucked under the dash in the extra cig hole..

Here's a set of gauges we installed in a customer's truck. Same Autometer WB Pro, with the black face.

OK thanks. Well while we're on this, how do you guys feel about the analog Wideband gauges like the AEM Uego and the Innovate G5?

Easier or harder to read than a digital one?
