Default Anyway to install updated software from a newer ECM to year older ECM? Speed Density

Alright I want to do a full speed density tune in my 2011 but for some reason my programming does not support it in HP Tuners. Now my buddies 2012 Silverado does support a full speed density tune. Both started off basically the same truck 5.3/6 speed except mine is a 2011 4wd and his is a 2012 2wd. Both have the same e38 ECM. Is there a way I can just copy and paste his tune file into mine and it work? Never done that before and neither has my tune on the newer vehicle so I'm unsure. Anyone out there do this before or know how to do a full speed density tune on a 2011 like mine? Right now I'm idling off the Maf and the Maf is all over the place reads really high and really low when I plug up the vacuum port I have open so it will idle right. I have to have a small vacuum port after the throttle body open just so it idles fine and I need to fix that asap. Seems like it's getting a lot of turbulence with the turbo. Also I'm on a ls7 Maf.

Not sure what you mean... Make a custom OS and I will be able to do the speed density tune? I imagine my tuner has tried that as he has done that with several other vehicles in the past. I'll be at the shop tomorrow trying some more things out. You have any idea if I were to copy my buddies tune file into my truck and make adjustments from there would it work? I have seen the older ECMs write corvette tunes into Camaros and stuff like that but not sure on these newer e38 ECMs.
