anyone use those bluetooth/WIFI obd2 scanners

I just bought an ELM327 WIFI obd2 scanner/code reader and purchased an app for my iphone. you can set custom gauges, PIDS, etc.
anyone used one? worst case is I spend 20$ to clear codes lol. I'm hoping to watch things like Trans Temp, Engine Temp, IAT and boost without adding aftermarket gauges to a classic. the app also has a feature to project a heads up display on your windshield.

This is another option Dash Control, if they have your fitment. It allows you to reprogram your DIC to show anything you want.

If the connection drops for any reason during flashing it will fry the computer you are trying to program. Even the OEM's are still working on making it reliable. I am sure HP and EFI will need to make a hardware change to support the Wireless function. A hardware change won't be cheap.

GM already has wireless Tech II's. I've seen them just plug in the dongle and flash in the latest calibrations to vehicles and do diagnostic checks at the dealerships.
