Default anyone run e85?

Iv seen a few of guys out here run e85 on boosted cars and seem to gain a quite a bit of power with it, iv seen as much as 50rwhp on a few lightnings, just wondering if anyone had tryed it on a hi compression na ls motor before?

unless you raise CR you lose 15-20% power. That is why E85 lowers fuel milage.

you don't lose power...a local just did a test of e85 this weekend and made the EXACT same power as he did with q16...e85 is good ****

x2, you can make the same if not more power with e85 even in N/A applications. just takes more overall volume to do so..

I'm gonna give it a shot this fall. Switching to 96 lb injectors to compensate for the extra fuel needed.

no reason to flame him, from what ive seen online the majority of people have heard of some form of misconception about e85 fwiw..

on stock cars, e85 usually sees ~30% drop in efficiency according to car and driver, however, i've seen a lot of the FI boys using it. i've heard it's great for boosted race applications because of its high octane level... i guess you could say higher octane because it takes a higher temperature to ignite it.

Great results from E85 on naturally aspirated motors too! Ask me how I know

.....been running it for about a month and a half now and I am loving the way the truck feels on it. My mileage didnt hardly drop off that much at all either but every vehicle is different and I am sure individual results will vary as far as mileage goes.
