Default Any Experience with SNL or Tx Speed Dyno? And COS ?

I am going to be getting my truck dyno tuned in a few weeks. Tx Speed is 4 hours away, SNL is 3 hours away. I haven't ever been to either. The guy at TX Speed have been really nice when I call and order parts lol.

Who has been to one of these and what do you think if your tune and service?

NEXT:
If I get Black Bear to send me an EFI Live Custom Operating System (COS) SD tune to get me moving, will either of those tuners be able to use that since they both use HPT? Or will the dyno shop have to start from scratch? I don’t want to spend $XXX for a Black Bear to get me moving just to have it deleted and pay the dyno shop to do another from scratch tune. I know normally this isn’t an issue but I don’t know how the COS’ work between the two programs.
Thanks!

If they use HPT they will not be able to do anything with the Blackbear tune that is EFI. IMO it would be a waste to get your tune done in HPT since you have EFI yourself. Why not get Justin to tune it, just log for him. Then get it on a dyno and dial in your timing. You might have better luck asking int he Texas section on tech about the shops. I believe there are mixed reviews about SNL, but there are a metric **** ton of shops in DFW and there are quite a few bad ones so maybe Im getting them confused with another shop.

I thought you had a bad experience with a boost-a-pump at SNL or was that another shop...

i personally think you'll get WAY more out of emailing files back and forth with BB than any other way of tuning if he can be patient with you and you have the time to log and keep logging he'll eventually nail your tune down

That was there also but was resolved... eventually.Good guys once you get in but seemed like they didn't want to work on trucks just gtos and f-bodys or it was bc i wasn't spending 1000s of dollars.

I was leaning towards TX Speed anyway...I agree Black Bear would probably be able to get me dialed in over time but I'm not sure if he wants to spend that much time on a "Mail Order" tune so to speak. I'd love to run an EFI Live COS but I have basically ZERO knowledge on how to tune for fuel or timing. I can do the trans and idle tables and the other stuff I can figure out. But I don't want to be experimenting with timing and fuel

From what I've read Justin is pretty good about doing the email tuning. Doesn't hurt to ask.
