Default Annoying surge with AC on, i am at a loss...

Well my truck has an annoying surge when coming to a stop with the AC on... The RAF is dialed in +/- .5... I just can't seem to figure out what is going on...

This all started when i added the 4L80 and CircleD converter... When the AC is off, i have no issues...

Ive had the same issue on mine for several years now. Its just a very light jerking when the compressor cycles and it can only be felt in OD. Ive just chalked it up to a slowly dying compressor. The belt is really worn so maybe its that or maybe the pulley is going. I dont know...it started when the 6.o was stock and with the stock trans. So the cam n 4l80 had nothing to do with it. I modified all the parameters in the a/c tune that i thought could affect the jerking with no luck, so its something mechanical.

it is not jerking, it is surging only when coming to a stop, between 0-15mph...

A/C torque management? I don't have EFI, so I can't help much.

mine always did the same thing as well... wheatley had hours of seat time trying to get rid of it, but no luck... occasionaly it would do it in park and would start surging until it died... tune was spot on, and it never did it with the a/c off. we even swapped from the 00 pcm to an 02 pcm. it help a little, but didnt fix it. i almost think maybe an orifice was plugged, and the engine had to work harder to turn the compressor when it engaged. not sure though

Also have similar issues. I have tried multiple times to get some professionals to explain what each A/C torque table does but no one seems to know. It's pretty frustrating.

I am getting it figured out. I had to spend about 2 hours yesterday figuring out those ac tables then another 2 hour dialing them in. Oh and another hour making a custom PID to log the damn ac pressure. RAF with the AC on amd off is within +/- 0.4. It is idling pretty damn good. Tomorrow will be the true test to see if it is fixed.
