Default airbag module problem

I am installing my silverado ss seats in my single cab. I have a perfect and uncut interior harness from a SS. My problem is that the main airbag plug on the harness will not plug into the airbag module located under the drivers seat bolted to the floor. I don't wanna go cutting the nubs off the harness plug so I'm wondering if I need the airbag module from a SS truck?? Are those modules vin locked? (I'm guessing no on that) Thanks for any and all recommendations....Sam.

In the photo, you can see (white arrows) pointing to the nubs that don't line up.

What years are the 2 trucks you are working with?

I know 06 up uses different plugs for the seat harness so that maybe your issue.

Damn. That is exactly it. Truck is 2006 single cab. Seats are from 05 or 06 I was told, 06 I think. Harness is 2004 SSS.

Would a different airbag module work in my truck? Or do I need to find a harness from a 2006? Or can I hack those nubs and make sure it's pinned the same as the factory harness was?

May be able to hack the nubs and confirm the wiring pin out.

If you could de pin the 06 harness you have just for the plug that might be better...

Probably going to be hard to find an 06 seat harness and not sure what issues you will run into by swapping to an 04 module.

Yeah I think I am gonna try to steal the plug from the original harness and repin the new harness in it.

Both harness are pinned the same. The one i need to use has the nub, I am going to remove that nub, and give it a try.

Well F@€# yes! Trimming the nub off and it worked flawlessly . In case anyone ever looks back and finds this thread. Even had the old lady ride around the block and the passenger airbag on/off indicator functioned perfect.
