After radix install, up to 5 degrees of kr!!!! help.

So I take it you got the guauges in and they are working, thats good. I get 1/2*-1* KR when I back out of my garage, right when I shift from reverse to drive. You will always see KR at some point, it just matters where and how much. Has Brian told you to send that tune back yet??? If you are going to do heads or a cam then that tune is pointless anyways. I think you should have someone locally that is a FI expert tune it for you (hint......hint........hint......hint)

If it's a lot of KR mostly at tip in ... check out your ghetto-fabulous exhaust and make sure there isn't anything banging up under there. Exhaust pipes rattling will cause false KR.

ok, seriously.......... who wants to die?
flyer, what you mentioned, is truly possible... because i believe i have heard it make noise before. But.... i do know for sure, i have heard audible pinging after the blower install, that wasn't there before. the exhaust situation is possible.... but i'm positive it's not the cause of this entire situation.
1slowhoe....... it's not as bad as they make it seem. Mikezq8ss posted up some pics of it, when it was up on the lift. Some of the welds have become rusty....so that definatly makes it look like ****. My 1/2" hangers kept breaking, and the pipes kept falling into my roll pan ( they exit through it) and that's very bad, since i dont' want the urethane to melt. So i said........ f that, i'm fixing this once and for all, and used a pice of 1/2" x 2" flat stock, and welded it solid to the frame, right behind the pan. it's ghetto....... but i had to do it, so i didn't ruin the pan. I fabbed in an h-pipe right after the exhaust manifolds, and the welds are rusted....... etc...etc.. so it looks like ****. the rest is true duals, that was bent up for me for free by a friend of my learning how to use the machine. It isn't perfect, but it was free. The only soreness truly is the welds, and the hangers. Some people are just used to tig welded, mandrel bent race exhaust. and this is far from that. But........ it friggin works, and sounds awsome.... so for now.......she'll do until I install the headers, and permanent exhaust.

Is there any audible pnging going on now? It could have been working out the kinks, which still doesn't have a viable explnation, but what else. If the audible detonation has gone away, then I would leave it at that.
FWIW, lowering the timing may still fix it if it's false KR from pipes banging. Less timing equals less torque which means less movement in the motor, which also means less movement in the connected pipes.
