Default Ac fuse blows when turned on

I have been pulling my hair out testing and trying different things. Every time I turn on my ac on my 2006 it blows a fuse. I hot wired the compressor and it kicks on and runs. I've unplugged the blower motor and same thing. Been searching for cut or burnt wires with no luck. Has anyone had this problem or heard of this any tips would be appreciated.

Do you have access to an amp meter? If you could test the amp draw through your hot wire, that would tell you if maybe the windings in the clutch electromagnet are bad. It might have a short that causes it to pull more amps than allowed by the fuse, but enough of the windings are left that it will work with a hot wire.

Can you just change the clutch on the compressor?

I'm thinking it's either the relay or clutch windings.

The clutch can not be replaced without tearing up the compressor
