99 ecu in a 01

I currently have a 2001 5.3l truck motor.

I was wondering if the 99 pcm/ecu will plug into the 01 harness.

Yes sir, it will. 99-02 NBS PCMs are interchangeable. They are color coded and keyed to that particular connector (cannot plug in a red connector to a PCM marked for green).
