99 with 03 ecu???

will a 03 ecu work in a 99? i know that the 02 will. but i think that there were some changes in 03??? sombody please educate me.

There were changes in the amount of pins for 03, wont work. Also the drive by wire was implemented in 03, where your 99 has cable driven throttle.
