Default 93 vs 87 Tune..

Guys,

I'm curious if running a 93 octane tune is worth spending more on gas in the long run. I've been told by Wheatly that a 87 tune can gain about 20HP vs a near 30HP gain on 93. With gas increasing and me not really being a racer with my truck, i'm kinda turned away from going 93.

Any suggestions or opinions are welcome.

i seriously believe my 93 tune gets alittle better mpg as even though i haven't caculated it, but it seems like the truck with the 93 tune can make certain trips using less gas than it did before. The performance is noticable between the two.

Id say go 89 tune if i were you then, that way you can compromise alittle. Plus i felt a good gain between the 89 tune over the 87. Probably more than i did between the 93 vs 89.

Go with the 93 Octane Wheatley Tune bro if you want the best out of your tune.
Trust me once you get tuned your foot is going to feel a little heavier

89 sounds good, right in the middle.

the new motors like a little bump in octane. Nelson posts really good gains on 89 octane so I dont think you'll need anymore than that. But I would do 89 over 87.
