80e swap question; why not use a 6.0L ECM?

I can tell you that it is best to use a file that was done by GM instead of swapping segments. I just had to fix a tune that I did about 2 years ago. The cruise did not work in 5th & 6th. It took me 2 weeks to figure it out

I'm curious, because hex is up my alley, how are you reading/understanding the OS files in hex? I opened one up in HXD and couldn't find the rhyme or reason. Are there white papers/explanations that I can look for?

I am in hex everyday. I have tried to find other tuners to talk to about hex. I am about to start a forum just so I can discuss it
