Default 80e aftermath problem

Just did 80e swap. Besides converter not locking till 65 I've had no problems.

But now I'm sitting on side of road on my iPhone. I was going down highway doing 75. Converter not locked. Had cruise on. Then I tapped brake to shut off cruise. My abs light and e brake came on then it said service brake system. So I slow down making sure I had brakes. All was good pedal wise so I did 60 to now exit. Then dash says transmission hot right as I get off exit. I make a eight to pull in a parking lot and it slams second gear hard and squeals the tires. I look under hood no signs of damaged wires. Then I let it cool for 30 mins. Start it up and no lights or anything.

Ive been keeping a eye on trans temp and it was normal. But I have another thread talking about how gauge shows 2 small notches above 100 even when truck ice cold. So I don't even know if gauge working right but somehow it knew it was hot.

Let me know any ideas you guys might think. I'm gonna hook it to a Matco scanner later and see. What exactly it did on brake code and figure out why it did it.

It threw this code in the history.

C0558. It says no definition for it. But that was it. I'll do some looking. I think tran got hot cause converter never locked going down highway. But I'm sending computer back to Justin once he responds to email.

Certainly sounds like a wiring/sensor issue. Sorry to hear it, man

Did research. On efi live forum Dc Justin was having same issue with 3 other vehicles. I think it's causing this cause now traction control is disabled. Hopefully on retune this all gets fixed.

Now to figure out why trans Gauge reads wrong. Everything hooked up right. It even shows 2 notches above 100 when truck is turned off when normally all of them read zero or all the way down. I think maybe the sensor in trans is different and gauge is reading it wrong

I've had my computer back but I sent all my gauges and stuff out to get blue LEDs. As soon as they get back I'll report.

Idk why. Its still got the problem and I'm trying to solve it. Looks like its because the ratios are off in the abs. I need to have the dealer tune it with a tech2
