Well on the good side of things it was nice to see my truck put back together after 3 months of it sitting there with no trans or motor. Just glad I did not loose and bolts, lol,
Hope to have the problem solved tonight.
yes it'll start, I had only one head gasket on backwards, the driver's side was on backwards. The temp gauge was all over the place.

Is your trans back in, everything plugged back up?

Everything is back in, started up with Hp tuners hooked up and no codes.
I think I will put on the new 42 lbs injectors I have and give it a try

dirt_track_racer_81 had some #30 injectors (30-31lbs) and they didn't even come close. You might ask him about them.

The reason for the 42lber is that I plan to go forced induction soon.

got a dumb question you didn't hapen to get the wir harness backwards did you? that would make the spark 180 out i would think. does it have dbw throttle body? you didn't tighten the valve to tight did you? don't think you really can on these motors but its a thought. oh and are your push rods the right length? is there anything that could be holding the valves open?

I was there during the install and assembly and I know for a fact that the gaskets arent on backwards, and the timing was dot to dot. I spun the crank 3-4 extra times and the dots still lined up. I'm leaning towards the injector theory but I'll stop by after school to see if you have it whooped.

you said you already primed the motor right (oil circulated). if so let it go for a minute or so and see what happens. as long as theres not alot of rattling or backfiring...maybe its the computers way of making it run so it can figure out that idle. the first time i started my motor it wanted to idle at 1500 rpm after it got through the studders. after about 5 minutes it dropped to around 750. mine rattled its *** off for a while too. scared the crap outa me! make absolute sure you have oil pressure and watch the temps.
