Default 6.0 swap tuning, few questions..

Need a little info.. Finished up my 6.0 swap today and I need some tuning bad... Are you guys just changing the engine tables or uploading a 6.0 tune?? I figured if i uploaded a 6.0 tune it would be segmented with the 4l80E tranny.. Allen Nelson tuned my current pcm so I guess I need to get him to unlock it.. Also it has a nice size cam in it 234/230 .598/.591 115+1 LSA.. I know I need to bump the idle up and adjust my VE tables but is there anything else I need to look at?? Any info would be appreciated..

If you find an operating system for a 6.0l with the same OS# as your current, you can just swap the engine segment from the 6.0l tune, and keep your existing calibrations for the 60E. Then you'll definetly need some VE and idle tuning to get the drivability down and some MAF tuning probably for WOT. Of course spark tuning as well, will want to increase that at idle, it'll help stabalize it better.

the reverse split is good ive heard if you plan on keeping the truck intake because of the intake bias, but is more of a crutch for a poor intake manifold design than anything

Are you using HPT? All you need to do is use the compare feature on your current tune and copy over the desired fueling tables. No need for a segment swap, unless the vehicle didn't come with the specific engine/trans combo. Just open up your current tune, then compare it to Wilde Racing's sample tune, and copy over the Engine calibration differences. Very simple.
