Default 5.3 with ls1 cam and 3k stall tuning

I am curious on how to go about tuning for the ls1 cam in my 5.3 that I will be swapping in tomorrow. I read the VE tuning guide, and I do have a wide band to put in to monitor things as well. If I put the wideband in the rear o2 sensor spot, will that be fine ?

I am pulling my 4.8 out since its high miles and is burning oil now so time for the 5.3. I also have a 3k stall to put in as well.

Does the truck still have the catalytic converters? If so you won't have "accurate" lambda (afr) readings after the cats.

If no cats on the truck though then the rear O2 position will work just fine.

Like said above - before cats... You should be tuning in open loop anyway, so if you have cats, just pull one of the front O2 sensors and put the wideband in there...

But you will damage the sensor if you put it close to the head

The cats are both out so I should be alright with putting the wideband there from whats been said. Thanks.
