Engine swap will a 06 5.3 harness and computer work on a 2000 5.3

I'm trying to find a engine for my gmc envoy with the 5.3 I'm not really trying to mess with the computer to much any advice on what's plug and play?

I swapped a 04 LQ4 in my truck and only thing i had to swap was the Oil Pressure Sensor..
Everything else is there..

i was wondering how u got the sensor to work since i tried putting the old 5.3 sensor in but it wouldn’t fit.

The 99-02 sensor is different than the 03+ sensor at the electrical connector. It doesn't matter if it's a 5.3 or 6.0
