Default 4l80e shift point tuning

I recently did a 4l80e swap. The shift points just don't seem right for a performance application. Especially in normal mode. All it wants to do is shift immediately through all the gears. Performance (tow/haul) seems a little bit better. I was thinking of copying my performance tables to normal then and then adding a few mph to the performance side. Does anyone have any experience with this. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Can you post the tune file?

Curious as to what it looks like now and what you can change.

I have ateaches the tune file. I'm pretty sure it's a stock file 4l80e from a truck. Thank you.

Try lowering the shift times and upping the shift pressure by like 5% at at time to see where it gets you.

Go for like .200 on the shifts and add a little line pressure. That should get it to shift firmer through the gear and not give it that small pause when it going into the next gear.

OK. I will try and get that done. Not too familiar with HPT. Should I leave the shift mph vs tps alone?

You can change that stuff up if you want too, just up to you on how you want it I guess.

If shifting at a lower mph or high mph if that is what you want, go ahead and adjust it to your needs.

Thanks again for your help. I'll see what I can do. Need to figure out some other tuning issues first. Doesn't like to idle very well in drive. Goes into open loop with no stft. Runs rich then lean and wants to die.

tuning shift and tcc speeds can be tricky.
there is a spreadsheet on the efilive site that plots them out and lets you visualize them. ive spent a decent amount of time getting mine right, and im pretty happy overall.
it just takes some time and experimentation.

If you have HP Tuners just download and use the BLUECAT transmission tuning software.
