I know you have wheatly son i was there when you were talking to the guy...lol hey buy the way what tranny was bolted to your 6.0? Just curious...cause i have heard that the 4.8 trannys are the same as the 4.3 tranny but I am not for sure. And what is wheatly's website? I googled it but no luck

I checked it out and ya the 2002 4.3L have the 4L60E but I am not sure which 4.3 is in my truck cause apparently when I was looking up the specs of the tranny there are 3 different models of 4.3 They are the LF6, LU3, and LG3. I dont know what the difference in models is. But the 4.3 that were made earlier than '98 there is the LB4 and L35, but only the LB4 was discontinued after '98. So I have like 4 models of 4.3 that mine could be...mine is a '02, but I am not sure which model is. Can anyone help with this?

my truck itself is a 99 my motor is an 02. So the vin number doesnt help cause they changed the model again in 02, I mean it would if I could get to it to see it...my 99 4.3 had a intake gasket leak that I didnt know about cause it was so slight. So I ended up overheating on the highway and threw a rod...so I bought a roled over 02 S10 and pulled the motor cause it only had 45k on it. So if anyone knows what model of 4.3 was in the 02 S10's, that would be cool

and i think the lb4 was the sy/ty/ss motor.
