Biggest difference betweens the two is earlier 4.3's didn't run a balance shaft, have potential for a stronger bottom end, but the 96+ 4.3's have the better heads and junky fuel injection and have split pin cranks.

Going to use custom piping. Just intend to use the exhaust manifolds off of the SyTy's.

Mix n match of the older block and crank with the newer heads and such.

I know you have wheatly son i was there when you were talking to the guy...lol hey buy the way what tranny was bolted to your 6.0? Just curious...cause i have heard that the 4.8 trannys are the same as the 4.3 tranny but I am not for sure. And what is wheatly's website? I googled it but no luck

most likely you have a 4L60-E.
