4.3 liter whoas!

2000 4.3 liter with new PCM...and yes I did the security relearn procedure. The security light no longer comes one with key in the run position.
We (my father-n-law and I) aren't getting any spark from the ignition. I know he's changed out the cap and rotor and swears he did it right. There was only one code showing which was the vehicle theft deterent system code, but has been cleared and no longer present or pending in Autotap. No other codes exist.
Now did he totally botch the cap and rotor install or should it still spark from the (a) coil (b) plug wire?
Fuel pressure is good, we just aren't getting any spark.
Thanks.

I'm heading back out there to look at it today. I'll put a test light on the wires leading to the coil. I'll also double check all fuses. (even though my father-n-law swears they're all good.)

just check to see if you have spark at the coil wire. also there is a pink wire going to the coil that seems to always break inside the connector. if you have scan tool make sure you have a reading for rpms while you crank.

I'll be sure to check this..going back out there tomorrow...Step dad decided to work on the boat instead. I'll be sure to check the Pin wire and the white wire. I'll hook the autotap up to see if I even get any rpms while I crank.
If I don't get an RPM reading from Autotap, does this mean that the pink wire or white wire is indeed broken?
does simply splicing/reconnecting the wire work in this case?
Thanks a ton You guys are the best when it comes for help.

the pink wire on the coil is hot when key is on....what does the white/black wire go to? If we hook up a test light to it we get nothing...even with the test lead hooked up to a hot source.
We're thinking the coil itself may be shot unless this white/black wire is suppose to be hot some shape or form.
