On my truck im wanting to run more than 14 psi so i would need to get a 3 bar map sensor but the problem that im haveing is that there is no option for a 3 bar in HP tuners for a 01 silverado

so my question is for the people that are running higher boost what do yall do for a tune and how do u tune for the 3 bar map sensor

01 does have option for a 3 bar, i run a 3 bar in my 02

 

hes running on a 6.0/4l80e tune for an 01, and 3bar isnt an option, at least its not showing in hpt as an upgrade

 

That shouldn't matter. Its same 411 pcm which accepts 3 bar

 

Why can't you swap/load a 02 OS and upgrade to 3-bar?

 

I might be able to do that in just not sure how

 

I had to start over with an 02 2500 stock file with an 80e, re-license it, and do 3-bar from there.

 

If a 3-bar OS is not available for your OS, email your tune to bill at hptuners and he'll get you fixed up. He had to get a custom OS done for mine because it was not available for the 06 pcm. He ended up sending me a beta OS. It took 4 months though.

 

The 2001 12202088 operating system offers 3 bar support.

 

how would i check what operating system mine has and how would i know what to change it to
