QUESTION ?? doing a a swap .In yall opinion which would be easier dbc or dbw . The 2003 WERE dbw but the v6 were dbc . i have both complete harness out of donor vechicles

 

DBC is less complicated IMO but you'll need a P59 ECM that has the IAC (idle air control) chip... some do some don't. You can run the P01 ECM (cable only) but you'll need to swap the green harness connectors for the red.

 

I have a red and blue 01 harnees complete also .that would better you think and use 0411

 

The red/blue harness only works with a 99-02 GMT-800. You'll need the green/blue harness for an 03+ truck. You can use the P01 (0411) ECM but you'll need to swap the plastic red connectors from the 99-02 harness with the green ones on the 03+ harness, to plug into the P01 ECM.

If you have a 03+ P59 ECM with part number 12576106 it should have the IAC chip (open case to verify) to use with either a DBC or DBW setup. These are hard to find and are usually in the Express Vans and GTO's.
