Default 2002 L31 5.7: HPT, changing 4l80E module to 4L60E

Hey Guys,

in HPTuners how do I change the transmission module from 4L80E to 4l60E?

In Tunercats this is labeled as Import Module. In EFILive its called a Segment Swap. Not sure what to do in HPtuners.

Or, could anyone post up a factory tune for a 2002 Express 1500 G-van L31 5.7L - 4L60E

Thank you, ~Mykk

you can go to the hpt forum and ask for a segment swap. Apparently it's not something HPT is setup for the normal user to do.

Ya, last I heard, EC_tune does most of them for HPT.

2 weeks to get a simple Segment Swap done. I can do this in 5 seconds using Tunercats OBD2.

Yea, I'm pretty heated about the "estimated" time period for the trans segment swap. I mean, I work in the automotive industry... I understand quoting a time period in the " worst case scenario" to get a job done. But honestly, Two weeks to perform a simple 2 min function that should have been available to the end user.

If it takes this long to get something like that done, what happens when I need to purchase credits? (which I just ran out of) Will that take weeks too?

I'm almost debating purchasing another brand tuning software that will provide the features I need just in the name of saving some time. (I don't know about you. but in my business that kind of statement would be enough incentive to get **** set right, and fast)

I even sent a "squeaky wheel" email to Bill to see if I couldn't expedite the process a bit. Not even a response, even after I would receive a reply in a matter of minutes on other questions.

Credits are processed automatically so are instantly available on your customer page.

Segment swaps are performed in hex by our head engineer, we leave for SEMA in just a couple of days so are trying to tie up loose ends in the 2-3 days that we have left and won't be back until the 10th of November. We get several feature, table, custom operating system & segment swap requests EVERY day & try to tend to them all as best we can. The timeframe I quoted IS a worst case scenerio timeframe but is also realistic since we won't be able to do it while we are not in the office.
