Default 1-2 Shift Too hard, How to fix?

Hey gang, got a quick question. Traded my stock 60e tranny in my 03 Silverado with a built one from Mad Dog transmissions. I have removed all tq mgmt and am happy with everything except for the 1-2 shift. Even at part throttle it kicks like a mule. Not sure how many washers are in the shift kit and I have not altered any line pressures or anything like that, it is all still stock at of now. Is there any way for me to safely remove some of this kick? It gets rather annoying on a daily driver

Wilde Racing posted on another forum that I need to go to "Trans> Shift Properties> Shift Pressure Modifier Upshift> 1>2
You can also go into the force table, but I feel it is best to leave that super blunt table alone unless you need line pressure changes throughout..."

Can someone please give me an example of some values I can try here? I dont mind the shift being hard at full throttle but would like it to be smooth at partial if possible. Thanks for the help on this!

You can take some out of the shift pressure table (where I'd start), the FMT and the Modifier tables. I'd start with the shift pressure table myself

start with the pressure table. Look at the difference from stock to performance if your need a numerical value to use. IE. you know how much harder it shifts with tow-haul mode and say the difference in the columns is a value of15, subtract that off of the normal mode to tone it down a little. I dont know any numbers im not on my computer lol.

You can go into shift timing and slow it down a hair as well in the part throttle cells. Not too much or it will begin to feel sloppy but just a bit coupled with pressure changes will make it feel more tame daily driving.

Mad Dog offers 3 shift stages. 1: stock. 2: Firm and 3: Hard (neck breaking)
Which one did you get?
If you got stage 3 i'd lower the shift pressure and see if it helps. if it doesn't your going to have to drop the pan. When they do the stage 3 they modify the valve body along with adding the shift kit.

I think i got stage 3 on my blazer but I can't remember. Haven't driven it yet either

Its a stage 2 and you better hope you did not get a stage 3 is all I can say. It was kinda cool at first but it gets old rather fast when ANYONE that rides in your truck thinks the tranny is about to blow up

Here is my current tune that I have pieced together but the 1-2 shift is still too hard...Thanks for the help guys!

I'm pretty sure I got a stage 3 but can't remember. No big deal for it tho since it's a v8 conversion 4x4 that I'll just use to offroad in every once in a while.

I was in a similar situation, what I did was copy the 2->3 trans pressures and pasted them in the 1->2 trans pressure table... Seemed to help...
