the L96 is already installed?

the vvt engine will have a cam actuator for the VVT, it has to use a different cover. the vvt timing cover (i think) has 5 wires? 3 for the cam position, 2 for the vvt actuator - as long as you splice into the correct 3 it shouldnt matter.

alternatively, if youre using the stock e38 ecm you may want to pin in the 2 wires for the cam actuator. 9.7:1 compression 6.0 with no VVT and stock cam will prob layover by 5k rpm

Default Outcome?

How did you come out on your deal? I plan on swapping a '12 vvt motor into a 08 non vvt vehicle. What all was required or did you just drop it in and repin your connector?

Thank you
Brian
