some help please, 06 silverado 5.3l has a rough idle and when you put a scanner on it, it said banks 1 and 2 running rich. no check engine light.

More info would be helpfull.

 

all stock only thing done to the truck at all is k&n drop in filter and flowmaster muffler. has 100k miles on it.

 

K&N Oil On the MAF sensor Is most likely your problem. Grab some Mass Air Flow sensor Cleaner at the auto parts store and give that a shot... Very common....

ok i took it out and cleaned it let it dry reset the computer and the same thing.

 

is it rich only at idle?

 

that im not positive on. i wasn't there when he had the guy hook up the scanner.

 

ive got an 03 5.3 with 112k and my service engine soon light came on friday but its not throwing a code, ive tried a new fuel filter, could it be my MAF also? ive got a rough idle, crappy gas mileage, and slow accel.. feels like the truck is loafing really bad. only mods are a flowmaster dump...

 

thats the thing with this truck it seems to run perfect except at idle and no check engine light.
