0411 swap head lights on .....help!!

i did a 0411 swap on a 4.3l 2000 silverado. for some reason the night time auto lights stay on all the time at night time. as in key out trucks been parked all day. soon as it gets dark the head light come on. what gives? anybody have any ideas? i didn't know the head light even went through the pcm.

that is very odd... maybe it's because of the 4.3? havent heard of any issues like that... if it is an 2000, you should beable to push the dome override four times and by pass the auto lights....

i did not know this. i thought the only way was to set the e-brake.
the 0411 swap is using the 2001 style computer in the older trucks that have the slow and stupid 4 plug computers. some of the tbi guys use them when swaping to marine intakes also.

i figured it out. the new computer has two batt 12vdc inputs. the old one only had one. they both had two key 12vdc inputs. well the old one had a left over 12vdc key on wire left so i put it on the batt 12vdc on the new computer. well i guess inside the comoputer the two batt 12vdc lines come together. so it was sending 12vdc back out the key on 12vdc line and turning things like the blower motor and headlights on. fixed it and all is good now!
